The universal detecting device localizes a wide range of materials in your wall. These not only include cabling, reinforcing iron, water pipes and other metals, but also plastics and cavities. What makes it unique worldwide is its ability to detect these items precisely up to a depth of 100 millimeters. The Wallscanner needs no calibrating before use, making the D-tect 100 a cost-cutting tool for professionals and advanced DIY enthusiasts.

Measurements are taken by running the Wallscanner along the top of the working surface. The device generates a high-frequency magnetic field which can penetrate brick walls, concrete and dry building walls. Materials and cavities whose physical and electrical characteristics differ from the wall material distort this field. The changed field and additional en-route information provided by the sensors on the wheels of the D-tect 100 are analyzed by the high-performance signal processor for display. The system immediately calculates a clear, conclusive depth profile with the recognised obstacles on the basis of the many electronic signals it receives and displays them in an easily recognisable form. Once objects have been found, they can be located precisely by moving the machine back over the working surface.

The graphic display shows a cross-section of the wall and marks any eventual obstacles with clear bars. They show how deep you can drill without causing any damage. The back-lighting for the dislay helps when working in poorly lit rooms and can be switched on at the push of a button.
