Bosch introduces to Mexico the first 100% ecological refrigerator

• Uses gas R600 which biodegrades in 16 days unlike the convencional gas which takes 16 years.

• The ecological priority in BSH is to create household appliances which conserve the natural resources and protect the environment.

• The buy of the Plant of BSH in Brazil by Mabe doesn’t affect the operation in Mexico, explains Mr. Hubert Kirschey.

Under the corporation premise in the concept of development and sustainability, which is focused on create household appliances that contribute to conserve the natural resources and the environment. Robert Bosch introduced to Mexico the first 100% ecological refrigerator, which reduces the consumption of electrical energy, a significant fact, because is the appliance that spends more electricity at home.

The ecological nature of the Bosch refrigerator is based on four fundamentals:

1) Doesn’t damage the ozone layer and doesn’t contribute to the global warming.

2) Uses gas R 600, which only takes 16 days in biodegrade, unlike the conventional refrigerator gases, which take 16 years.

3) The use of electrical energy is 18% minor, with concordance with the maximum allowed by the regulations.

4) Create a healthier environment for the food conservation, owe to the internal recovery, which prevents the formation of bacterium.

This year the firm also introduced to the household national Market the dishwasher Active Water, which only uses 10 liters of water to clean a total of 143 pieces, while the average of housewives use till 40 water liters in the execution of this labor.

Hubert Kirschey, the director of the Bosch household appliances division, denominated BSH enhanced the participation of the company in big real-estate projects like Marea Azul, in Quintana Roo, Nima Bay, from Puerto Vallarta and Ventana Polanco in Mexico City, among others, in which BSH participates with the equipment of houses and departments with stoves, electrical and induction grills, ovens, refrigerators, dish washer machines and dryer machines with innovative technology which reduce substantially the consumption of water and energy on those areas.

After communicate that BSH earned the prize for being the most sustainable company on 2008, among 350 global companies from diverse industrial sectors, Kirschey sustained that during the life period of a household appliance, 90% of the ecological damage is generated on it time of use, that is why BSH develops products with higher energetic efficiency.

He exposed as example that between 1999 and 2009 it have been reduced the consumption of energy in Bosch electrical ovens, while on the last 15 years the washing machines of the firm save till 42% of energy and 46% of water.

In drying machines the electricity saving is of 56%. The today refrigerators spend between 58% and 66% less kilowatts and the dish washers 55% less water and 35% less electrical energy.

Hubert pointed out that BSH is the result of the equal parts association between Bosch and Siemens, which counts with 40 Brands, employees more than 40 000 employees in 44 factories located in Europe, Brazil, USA and Latin America and achieved worldwide sales of 8.76 billion Euros on the last year.
