Currently, the highest injection pressures are reached by means of
Unitary Injectors and Unitary Pumps. The fact that these systems allow for more precise injection, according to the engine’s instant operating conditions, means that modern engine requirements can be met.
The Unitary Injector (UIS) and Unitary Pump (UPS) systems include electronically controlled, individual cylinder pumps which are used on direct injection diesel engines. Compared to traditional injection systems, they provide high flexibility when adapting the injection system to a particular engine. Its advantages are:
• Wide application range, for passenger and light commercial vehicles, with up to 30kW/Cylinder, and up to 80kW/Cyilinder for heavy vehicles.
• High pressure injection up to 2,050 bar.
• Variable injection start up
• Pilot injection possibility
